A C-suite guy used this word in a business meeting, and after I asked not to use it, used it again “just for fun”. It was the most clear sign to never do business with him again.
If I see you use this word, I'll block you. If you use it "satirically" I'll block you. Using it at all today is a really fine test of character.
I've had some of my books edited because I used it twenty years ago and I'm ashamed today of having used it.

Because the lessons of the Holocaust is not that we "shouldn't do a Holocaust", it's that we should oppose the conditions that made the cruelty of the Holocaust possible at all: authoritarianism, laws of the strongest, scapegoating and oppression of minorities, normalizing apartheid & genocide, etc.
