Think much of the over-parenting we despise stems from the early on fear of the driver.

The DC shooting story is really getting to me because we literally trained this man as a child soldier for a death squad in a forever war and Stephen Miller et al want to blame it on other cultures? It's our culture, American culture, that killed that woman.

I am a little tired of being yelled at for this but apparently not tired about: heroin addiction is not RFK’s problem. He’s a sociopath. Most addicts aren’t. Honestly, walk into an NA meeting, grab the first person with a few years to be head of HHS and they’d probably do a better job than Bobby.
This is what happens when you put a privileged, 14 year heroin addict in charge of health. Duh

The author derives this number by factoring in costs for childcare for two children at around $30,000, housing at $25,000 and health care at $10,000. While I think the overall analysis is flawed, these costs are real for a lot of families.
imagine publishing that the real poverty line is around $130k-150k

Schools should not give grades. Not even in college. They are terrible for student self-motivation, foster competition rather than cooperation, are often ableist, and often perpetuate other forms of discrimination. Plus in adult life I don't get grades, I have other reasons for doing things.

I’ve gotten tear gassed by these guys and you can tell despite everything they’re really fucking rattled. These are not guys with any kind of discipline or morale. Which is cold comfort currently, because that’s not stopping their terrorism campaign, but they’re going to lose. They suck so bad.
