Ex-Cleveland manager Terry Francona to Trump wanting Indians name to return: “[Trump says], ‘Why can’t it be like it used to be?’ And I my retort would be, ‘There’s probably a lot of people in this country who don’t want it like it used to be.’ And if you’re white, (you’re) probably just fine.”

The Catholic Church has been responsible for a whole lot of death, pain and devastation over the centuries. But they've kinda kicked ass re: Israel/Gaza and the Trump administration. A long, loud, clear stream of compassionate policy and advocacy for justice in the face of these injustices.

I obviously adore the Bundesliga - and I’d say Bayern have faced a much tougher time of it in recent years - but this is undoubtedly true.
The Premier League's strength in depth will be the reason Premier League teams don't win the Champions League consistently: PSG, Bayern, the Spanish giants can play in second gear in the league most weeks in a way the English clubs can't and it'll often show in April and May.

I am perfectly willing to give the church and the papacy a ration or five of criticism but this is an admirable reminder to the world that the Christian faith is supposed to be centered on service and welcoming, not judging (which in that faith is explicitly God's job, not ours)
The final honor guard for Pope Francis included migrants, prisoners, transgender people, the homeless and others selected by the Vicariate of Rome as a symbol of the late pope’s mission of inclusion and outreach.

In any functioning democracy the elimination of an extant department that protects children from lead poisoning would be a game ender for the entire administration under which it occurred.

I’ll expect a strong statement from Chuck Schumer and some fundraising texts.
3 days ago RFK Jr. told the CDC to stop recommending water fluoridation, claiming it was a neurotoxin (this is a lie).

Turns out he also just eliminated the CDC’s entire Lead Program, and now lead poisoned children in Milwaukee are just on their own. Lead IS a neurotoxin and harms brain development
CDC denies help for lead poisoning in Milwaukee schools due to layoffs
The CDC rejected a request for help "due to the complete loss" of their lead poisoning experts.
