Stop. We're not rioting here in Los Angeles. Trump isn't removing criminals. He's scooping up our friends and neighbors and denying them due process. We're protecting them with our bodies and making it difficult for ICE to commit these crimes. There is a difference.

The United States of America is not a fully functioning democracy.
I love this idea of "doing hope." Get out of bed, breathe in and out, compliment someone's socks, pet a cat. Whatever can keep you going in a given moment - do that.
Friends, many of us are finding it hard to feel hopeful. And that’s ok. When you can’t feel hope, do hope. Hope is getting out of bed. Hope is telling jokes, writing that paper, smiling at a stranger, permission to rest. Hope is a practice. What does hope in action look like for you?
