As federal employees, we often have no grey space in which to operate. If I had received explicit instructions on “how” to redact these files, I would’ve followed them to the letter, even if I knew it wasn’t being done correctly. Sounds like DOJ was more focused on the “what” to redact than the how.
Did you hear the latest revelation? Apparently, the DOJ didn't have the Epstein files professionally redacted and used a readily available redaction font. If you want to read them, all you have to do is copy and paste it into a document, then change the font. The incompetence is stunning.

We’re supposed to believe that the situation was like the Battle of the Bulge, with thousands of people running around & guessing because they didn’t have reliable information. It’s not 1944. We have military drones with cameras that can read license plates from 15,000 feet.
