While the American constitution and government were hardly perfect in their initial design, many of the governance issues in the country today have more recent origins than people think.

We print dollars. We are plenty liquid whenever we need to be. This is where his background as a private businessman completely fails him.

Let's talk about abyssal gigantism:
The tendency of animals found in ocean depths to be substantially LARGER than shallow-water cousins.

This is the giant squid (Architeuthis dux), which can reach 13 m (~40 feet) long from 'head' to tentacle tip.

They can live at depths of 1000+ m.

Right, like the quality of garments has plummeted over the last 50 years but they're a lot cheaper so the paperclips are maximised it's all good.

I also think capital markets have been broken by wealth inequality. Delusions can be sustained a long long time.

Almost no matter what we say we'll win in '28 (b/c things will be terrible) & the winner will claim a mandate based on these great things we said.

The question is do we want to say that we won b/c we demonized trans people or championed their rights?

Remember, we're winning either way.

The fact that the one game made by an explicitly communist co-op game studio now has three successor studios making a self-proclaimed sequel to it, and dispute the legitimacy of the other two is, of course, the most communist outcome possible.

You literally cannot say to a country: I want you to reduce your trade surplus with the US *and* invest more money in the US. The reason they have money to invest is by running a trade surplus, and the reason they run a trade surplus is cuz they invest that money rather than spend it on US imports.

Folks who spend years having to scheme and plot and plan ways to make it to the next paycheck are probably smarter on average than someone who made it big and coasted for the next 2 decades. Because they have to be.
Here’s the thing about being a rich white man. It’s very hard to accept that even with every law and policy in your favor, that the person that went to public school with far less of the resources is most likely light years smarter than them. So they make up myths like eugenics and merit.
