Alright here is what different matchups would have looked like if other candidates were in the final round against Frey, broken down by ward.
Jazz and DeWayne would have improved on Omar in wards 8 and 11-13. Omar had the edge everywhere else - especially wards 2, 5, 6, and 10

If your candidate or candidates aren’t picking up their signs or accepting drop offs, you can sign up to have LWV volunteers pick them up for recycling.

Too often we use the phrase "tireless advocate" to describe community organizers who have been fighting the good fight for years and just keep on. But Dex is fucking tired. If you want to build a DFL worth fighting for, join them at abetterdfl.org.
Hi Minnesotan Bluesky:
The DFL has a well-known transphobia problem. I'm organizing to change the party platform in 2026 to be explicitly supportive of trans people in Minnesota. This will provide a basis for expelling transphobia from our party.

Curse of being GenX is that we remember the hippies turning into Reagan worshipers. It royally sucked tbh - and you learn young that too much of "liberalness" is purely performative with slightly better fashion sense than the always-conservative crowd.
Never understood that prediction given that the Boomers were also the voting block that destroyed our ability to make those improvements in the first place by bringing in Reagan and trickle down economics while killing the Eisenhower tax rates
Very “we’re all trying to find the guy” of them!

So many people seem to be misunderstanding how human beings vote. We’re not automatons. We’re motivated by emotion, connection, and our own goals. Assuming everyone will line up behind you because you think you have some perfect analysis is never going to be a realistic outcome.

Mamdani's line that billionaires spent more to oppose his candidacy than he proposed to tax them really says it all.
Like a company that shuts down a profitable location as soon as it unionizes. The principle of maintaining control is more important.

Thinking about Katie and Aisha’s Uptown safety ambassadors…
Lots of people were asked to run. But everyone knows Frey has unlimited money and is deeply petty. Hard sell to subject yourself to millions in attack ads, be iced out on official side collaboration and have the programs in your district mysteriously no longer have city staff support to carry out.

Far too often, young people (esp. young women) get told they need to slow down or wait their turn. I think that’s nonsense. I’m excited to collaborate with them & advance progressive policies for THEIR generation and the following generations. This is our responsibility, and I’m happy they’re here.
