Update: I am inside the rec center (it is cold lmao). Say hi inside if you want or just leave the sign in the pile :)
I’ll be at Powderhorn until 6! Come drop off your lawn signs and say hi! (If it gets really cold I may move inside lol)

The reason people think the Democratic Party doesn't actually stand for anything is because it doesn't.

Listen to those workers closest to day-to-day realities, so we don’t need a 50th anniversary remembrance of the next preventable disaster. 🚢🌊
SS Edmund Fitzgerald had a structural defect in its keel. Sailors on that ship had complained about the ship bending and flexing during storms, especially when it was overloaded, which it usually was. They had also found old keel weld breaks due to structural fatigue, which were never repaired

I think it's pretty simple then. If the Republicans don't keep their word, all 8 should resign immediately.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"

If you want to keep your sign, please take it down tonight or tomorrow. We'll be picking up signs that are still standing throughout the week after the drop off event to be in compliance with state law. 2/

Hi Minnesotan Bluesky:

The DFL has a well-known transphobia problem. I'm organizing to change the party platform in 2026 to be explicitly supportive of trans people in Minnesota. This will provide a basis for expelling transphobia from our party.

According to VoteMpls, @jason4parks.bsky.social won their seat on the Park Board and this legit gives me a lot of joy! Jason's care for our city, and parks is gonna be necessary and good to have! Congratulations :)

The longstanding racism and anti-immigrant sentiment amongst “Democrats” is increasingly, nakedly obvious. The mad nasty gloating of some of the Frey-cronies reveals the desire only to win, the lack of interest in the DFL platform or the well-being of Minneapolis residents.

Didn’t even take 24 hours for billionaires to decide they aren’t leaving New York after all.

And look at the results of our organizing!! Our worst precinct is almost 73% of the vote!!!

Just overwhelming consistency for the best* and hardest-working councilmember in the city ❤️

*(I’m biased but not that biased lol)

So proud of you Jason, and so excited to have you as my next Park Board commissioner!! ❤️🌹
Thank you District 4, and the supporters who carried this victory! Once I’m a bit more healed up, we will definitely be celebrating this win- the vision of parks for everyone is something we can all share and bring to fruition.

if anyone is interested while we wait for more detailed data, I compiled this last night with first ballots in the mayor's race summarized by ward

it does appear @aurinmpls.bsky.social and ward 12 led in turnout (and was DeWayne's best ward by far!)

Jason's team crushed it this year, and I don't think any council candidate in the city knocked as many doors as @jchavezmpls.bsky.social. Absolute legend.
One of the things I’m proudest of in this campaign is the fact that a TON of the increased turnout this year came from Ward 9.

Compared with 2021, we increased raw turnout by over 20%, from 6,983 in 2021 to *8,417* this year, a difference of 1,434 votes.
What I love most about Jason Chavez’ campaign is how they worked—and succeeded!—at increasing turnout.

They also spent resources on not just election literature, but on ensuring residents are armed w/info to protect ourselves and our neighbors in this terrifying era. One example of campaign lit:

I know MN hasn’t been called, but I hope what we take away from tonight is that we take care of us- we are the community we make. I love the energy and positivity I’ve seen from progressive folks these past few months, and I’m grateful for all the energy and work everyone has put into our community.

Hey friends! Quick ask! I’m looking for folks who can help team Fateh with taking pictures of results at precincts once they’re available a bit after 8pm.

If you’re interested, reply or DM me and I can get you more details!

Thanks so much!
