The absolutely cruelty of ICE continues. Today a 2 year old girl Chloe was kidnapped with her father. Please help donate so we can bring them back.
The heartbreak of this only to magnifies with each passing day.
Help bring 2-Year-Old Chloe & Her Father Home. They were kidnapped today in South Minneapolis. With the permission of the mother, we are reaching out to raise funds for lawyer fee’s, food, bond requests, rent, livability, & resources to keep this family together.

So much discourse about the fate of small businesses this week and landlords last week. It really shows how chained we are to the systems of capitalism

So MPD has been nowhere to be seen when it comes to protecting the community.

But they’ve pulled out all the stops and are all over the downtown area because JD Vance is here.

Hmmmmmm….

We spent four months trying to get Senator Klobuchar to stand up for transgender Minnesotans.

Sadly, we were unsuccessful.
Pride month @amyklobuchar.com tracker, day 30:

Skeets supporting Pride: 2 (extremely tepid)
Skeets supporting trans rights: 0

IMO, this is a pathetic showing for anyone claiming to be an ally.

Here's what I know about Klobuchar's silence on LGBTQIA+ issues, particularly trans rights. 🧵 1/

Amy really phoned it in with today's post. I get that she's fighting Trump's evil budget, but she should have AT LEAST called out the bill's elimination of trans healthcare. Silence kills.

My former boss at HOME Line is doing important work tracking eviction filings by the Minneapolis and St. Paul public housing authorities. These are evictions filed against some of our poorest, most vulnerable neighbors. And they don't require anything at all to stop besides an email from management
Yesterday—the same day that the St. Paul City Council unanimously passed a resolution calling for a statewide eviction moratorium—the Public Housing Agency of the City of St. Paul filed 68 evictions.
Average of all alleged overdue amounts: $1,456
More than half are for < $1,000. A couple for < $100.

I'm not taking the bait, but when one side says, I'll take whatever, and the other side says not pizza, you shouldn't choose pizza.

Boooo! Do something, Senator
A Democratic official close to Klobuchar framed it as a “preliminary step necessary for any candidate considering a run.”

absolutely insane to see Musk feted at Davos as the icon of a boldly "optimistic" future in 2026, as if he hadn't just spent the last year buying elections for fascists, making Nazi salutes, condemning millions in Africa to death, and building "Mechahitler," and a nonconsensual porn/CSAM generator

P.S. all this false positive bullshit happened ON HER SON'S FIRST BIRTHDAY. If anyone needed another reason to hate the many systems that work together, sometimes through corruption but often just a combination of bureaucracy and incompetence, to absolutely crush families.

This is a great idea. Friday will be colder than today, but if you know it fails now, you can tweak it
For Minnesota transplants like me who haven't internalized cold-weather behavior in the same way others have, I will offer a suggestion:

I'm going to take a 45-60 minute walk this afternoon in the gear I plan to wear tomorrow.

It's the perfect opportunity to fine-tune my preparations.
