Just a reminder that even though some legends like @tommorelloofficial.bsky.social are playing there today, First Ave leadership has been pretty trash about honoring strikes, the wishes of their employees, and everything else until there was something in it for them.

Deviated from my normal type of safe breakfast sandwich to try a croissant bacon egg and cheese kind, and ended up going on a bender with that flavor for about a week, but that little tryst is over because the weird bread flavor of not a biscuit doesn't thrill me anymore.

The administration story is that Liam Ramos mother refused to take her son.

In actuality she was inside with another child. If she opened the door they would all be detained. She literally had to make Sofie’s choice.

I can’t.

"Mi hijo Liam me decía: 'Mami, ábreme la puerta', estaba aterrorizada. Mi esposo me gritaba 'no abras la puerta' y no lo hice por miedo a que mí también me arrestaran y dejara solo a mi otro hijo. Al ...

For #ThingThursday this little "Winky Blink" lenticular animation. Maybe originally a Cracker Jack prize. I think I got it at a vintage shop, I can't quite remember, but bought for my partner who is a fiddler.

This is state violence manufacturing housing precarity in real time.
