It’s a good reminder of why we can’t be jaded in our dotage.

I think both sides of the argument I’ve been seeing for days could stand to take a step back and figure out ways to communicate their points in ways and times that may actually result in coming together.

I know this is a difficult time, Nick. Please understand that you’re making something about you that isn’t about you and you’re putting as many words in my mouth as you think I’m putting in yours.

And I know it can be comforting in challenging times to say “if everyone did X the way I wanted them to, it would have worked out.” But that’s simply not how people work.

We need to be better about processing our hurt and discomfort and not belittling other people for not knowing better.

You either want to coalition build or you want to insist on being the smartest in the room. You can’t do both.

We always talk about meeting people where they’re at and oftentimes that is outside our own sicko bubble of what we think we know. Yelling at other people for not agreeing and having their own opinions is not the way to any better results.
