the really heartbreaking thing is when i interview Chinese devs (or Korean devs as well) or even just like network with them I get thanked for treating them respectfully.... and i think that points to a much larger issue that some devs face bc of the way american journalists talk about their work

when i was playing GTA IV a lot, my friend was a car mechanic so i asked him how the cars performed and he said "they drive like actual cars with one exception, the suspension is way too forgiving, IRL, you'd be scraping like crazy" and it feels SO GOOD
