I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

Fury Road is certainly a feat, but it's also clear that, with CGI, you can kind of pick and choose your spots a little easier. Gloss it up if you have to.
On the other hand, filming Road Warrior looks like a dusty nightmare. An entire crew hoping that a tanker truck doesn't roll over them.

Finally got to the true ending in Hades II last night. Now I have to decide if I want to spend an extra month getting to the epilogue, like I did on the first game or do I try to move on to other games in my backlog. All before RE9 comes out at the end of the month! Too many games!

As far as media consumption goes, I stayed up until 6 AM playing Nioh 3 after putting something like 18 hours into the demo. So today I read the latest chapters of Chainsaw Man and Kagurabachi, then finally finished up Act I of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Bit of a thematic through line across those

One writing talent which I lack is making mundane everyday living seem compelling. This week I decided to replace my nearly 20-year-old bed, and while I was at it I got some percale Egyptian sheets and learned a "duvet cover" means you have to buy a "duvet insert" to get an actual blanket/comforter.

She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it.
