Good. Impressed as I was with the writing in Re:Metaphor Fantazio, I still don't trust Hashino to write about modern social issues based off P4 and P5, so I'd rather see someone new take the reigns for P6 in 10 years

It's wild to me that plenty of mainstream entertainment outlets have been doing some kind of anime coverage for close to a decade now, and they still largely suck at it.
Wow, I forgot Shinzo aired on Cartoon Network. Oh wait no I didn’t. It never did. It aired on Jetix. Tiger & Bunny didn’t either despite it being in the header image and also not on the list.

Checked out the first ep of the Digimon Beatbreak dub and it sounds very good, though given how the franchise has generally been handled stateside its so surreal listening to a Digimon dub with swears and the Japanese OP and ED left as is

Never have I been more glad that no project gets picked up at KyoAni unless a director is proactive about wanting to make it. Which, duh, they would with Ruridragon. Jump adaptations are sucking the air out of the room, but at least this is a vacuum-sealed studio that won't sap talent from elsewhere

KyoAni being on ANY Jump title feels like it should be a sign of dark times but Ruri Dragon is a good fit for them

Hadn't thought about this till I saw it pointed out that we haven't gotten a new Pokemon movie in several years but I think one of the biggest casualties in the shift towards the seasonal anime model has been toyetic anime series. Seems like they've largely died in relevance

Does a franchise HAVE to be diverse? Of course not. Especially one that is rooted in a specific culture or region. But it is so annoying when people who aren't even Japanese whine about the existence of black characters in manga. Bruh, shut up and let the creators tell the stories they want to tell.
