this is what gobsmacks me. yakuza 3 already has a modern-ish remaster with all of the good/less objectionable stuff in place, but RGG seem to have spent time and resources making the whole thing worse. i dont get it, man
Those games used to be the toast of the internet. Now it's like, what do you mean they cast a sex pest and leaned into it? They dropped the hugely memorable story where Kiryu supports a trans woman? All in a halfbaked remake to a fine enough game you can still play on modern hardware? What.

A real shame to see the wheels fall off the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise. Sega was riding such a wave of goodwill in the late 2010s/early 2020s. Huge new audience was introduced, they made most of the games easily available. But that siren call of pump 'em out, make the line go up strikes again.
