The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

I'm not entirely convinced many Trump supporters will care. Maybe independent voters, which will be good, but hardcore Trumpists will be loyal to him forever, no matter what.
Should the Epstein files be released in full it would undoubtedly be an irreconcilable scandal & disaster for Donald Trump - which is why I predict that Chuck Schumer will post hole on main during that press conference, to save the Republicans from another inevitable defeat.
