Just seen Ickle Tommy Ten Names referred to as "Ewok Powell" in the comments section of a YouTube vid & I haven't laughed so hard in a while.

Outstanding work from whoever came up with that one. 🤣

My roommate saw me put more cheese onto a frozen pizza & it was like I unlocked something in him. I saw the wheels turning as he realized we don't have to settle for the default amount of cheese the pizza overlords offer us. What goes onto the frozen pizza is in our control. We have the power.

I don't really post anymore, but I would like to carry on writing books at some point in the future.

Hate to be annoying, but any chance you could retweet so old twitter followers can find me if they want to? Going to delete my twitter, or at least abandon it on lock and let it die a slow death.

It is wrong, these foreigners owned monopolies are making 40% profit margins, shipping 10s of billions out of our country in dividends and now we have to pay them to upgrade ’their’ networks.

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.
Exclusive: Amazon has long been USPS’s top customer, providing over $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

A new ‘national forest’ is promised by government for the Oxford-Cambridge corridor, with a new ‘forest city’ to be located east of Cambridge. Millions of trees are to be planted as part of a £1bn commitment to support the forestry sector, enhancing nature and driving economic growth.
What about new forests, then?
Is “forest” the new “sustainability”? just another catchword, to sell mass commercial development to a sceptical local population?

My attendance record in the European Parliament was the 4th worst out of 751 MEPs, yet I managed to turn up to vote AGAINST plans to tackle Russian misinformation.
Thankfully this is of no interest to the media.

Amazon announced 14,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $40M last year.

UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

OK folks, here's the deal. Spotify is running ICE recruitment ads and has ignored asks to stop. It's time to tell them we won't stream fascism - by cancelling our subscriptions. Here's how to get started: indivisible.org/cancel-spotify

Worth noting that the Labour party appears to fully accept the salary threshold definition of "contribution to society", remarkable given its history and voter base (do nurses not contribute to society?)

A weather balloon launched by private company that uses a bag of sand as a ballast, shattered the cockpit window of an airplane at 36,000 feet last night. Yikes!
Looks like the UA1093 incident is tentatively confirmed to be a balloon and not space debris, per this exchange on the other site

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?
