Iodine deficiency impairs learning and lifelong productivity...

...yet the UK ranks among the worst globally for iodine intake and well below what the WHO considers adequate.
Iodine, UK policy and brain growth: a question of intelligence

Gutted by the Dems caving after the blue-wave wins of last week? Sick & tired of us snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? I hear you! Might I suggest you calm yourself, relax, take a deep, cleansing breath... then see if this photo of 2 pandas cuddling is of any help.

We know from our recent e-waste week with @stratforddc.bsky.social that some people have old smart phones kicking around in drawers and cupboards. Now you can help Welcome Here Stratford by donating them for use by newcomers to the town. Drop them off at our Climate Hub in Meer Street.

For 9 in 10 days so far this year, we were 100% powered for some part of the day by clean energy.

Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

🔥 Harrods: What do the survivors do now??

The courts, the redress scheme, the police — all form part of the same legal abyss.

◾ Survivors cannot access the courts, let alone for trafficking

◾ Harrods’ “redress” is run by the institution itself

◾ The Met refuses to name the crimes as trafficking

This is a survivor's account of the structural failure of British justice when confronted with money and power. A must read ⤵️

It appears that there has been a lot of sex trafficking w/ impunity by a lot of wealthy, powerful men. Is this part of the motivation of some to become wealthy & powerful? To abuse women & girls (& sometimes boys) at will?
