Stratford Climate Action's monthly meeting is this week, Wednesday 12th November, at 7:30 pm, at Stratford Methodist Church (in the New Room, at the back of the church).

We'll be discussing ideas from a local transport enthusiast for improving local buses in the meeting.

We know from our recent e-waste week with @stratforddc.bsky.social that some people have old smart phones kicking around in drawers and cupboards. Now you can help Welcome Here Stratford by donating them for use by newcomers to the town. Drop them off at our Climate Hub in Meer Street.

As well as the #RepairCafe in the Methodist church hall this morning, there's a "Give and Take" stall. This month's theme is "Toys and Games" so a perfect time to declutter toy cupboards and/or pick up some new games for free.

We had a great response to our call with @stratforddc.bsky.social to bring e-waste to the Climate Hub. This was all collected this morning, so if you still have small items old tech to recycle please put them in a carrier back on top of, or by the side of, your bins on your normal collection day.

Small electrical items can be left in a carrier bag and on the top of, or by the side, of your bin on your scheduled dry recycling, garden waste or non-recyclable waste collection day. Items must be small enough to fit in the designated compartment beneath the refuse collection vehicle. Please do not put any electrical equipment inside any of your bins. Examples of what you can recycle: Phones, tablets, laptops & calculators; radios and small games consoles, small kitchen appliances; small electrical toys; smoke detectors & thermostats. The dates for the opening of the Climate Hub at 30 Meer St are actually 14th, 16th and 18th October. The Hub is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and most Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, staffed by volunteers
