Every writer who generates a slop image for their work is a class traitor.

"I can't afford a visual artist"

So your solution is stabbing artists in the back? Stealing from them?

Furthermore, slop-generated imagery suggests slop-generated writing. That's how you're presenting yourself.

One take from a former Larian artist, following my interview with Swen Vincke this morning:
consider my feedback: i loved working at @larianstudios.com until AI. reconsider and change your direction, like, yesterday. show your employees some respect. they are world-class & do not need AI assistance to come up with amazing ideas.

Perfect screenshot. Worf as a focal point is already killer, then your eyes travel to Data in the friar haircut and you think "this can't possibly get any better," and then there's the finishing blow of Geordi in his space visor plucking a lute

It might seem silly but I got a kick out of this panel in Dogsred where Noda displayed the teams as just their heads in the blocky numerals. It reminds me of the corner boxed Marvel used to do. Despite the different contexts and distances of years and language, great ideas are great ideas.

"The second this golden age of animation became unprofitable it stopped. You can practically pin a date down to the very week this happened: on [11/15/24], ten days after Donald Trump’s second election, Disney removed an episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur that dealt with trans athletes."

This obsessive need to give everything a backstory is starting to feel like nothing more than cowardice. Too scared to greenlight new ideas so let's just flog the ones that once worked to death
I do not want Gaston backstory, I do not need Gaston backstory, I reject Gaston backstory

he is a fully formed oaf, consuming eggs by the dozen in one of the greatest villain songs ever written, and that is all we need of him

Q: A number of Republicans have denounced your statement on Rob Reiner. Do you stand by it?

TRUMP: Well, I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned.

The thing that's never sat with me re:criticism about Expedition 33 being "baby's first JRPG" is that the people who actually made the game couldn't be more consistently reverent about their influences.

100% agree. Ironically, this is the only version of "broken windows" that actually makes any sense, because it has to do with the individual behavior of one person going from getting away with small crimes to getting away with big crimes, instead of being some vague theory about general contagion.
My hottest take is that letting cops park in red zones for mundane errands and coffee breaks; I think “you can break the law at your discretion as a job perk” is the small domino that ends in the large domino of “shooting protesters in the face with rubber bullets”
It must be wild to get to abuse the public then pay for it with the public's money

Man the Video Game Awards makes no sense to me. I'm happy FFT got an award, what with it being my favorite game of all time, but those categories make no sense.
Do gamers really know or give a shit about game direction?
Also it's weird to have many of the categories have the same 5 candidates.
