Super cool map clustering similar Bsky accounts together! If you for instance look at nodes near @godotengine.org, you'll find notable #GodotEngine related accounts you can follow! Challenge: Try to find yourself without searching!

Oh if only my own autistic tendencies had a stronger grasp; I would've gone into game developent far earlier.
when someone I've known for decades mentioned how brave I was to have done some things early in my career I clarified I sincerely couldn't tell I wasn't supposed to and didn't pick up on the risk I was taking

each day people in my generation are still figuring it out

Fun fact: In blind tests, people can't reliably tell the difference in sound quality between a signal conducted through expensive audiophile cables or a banana.

"Premium" audio cables are a scam. Especially considering that for the price of 1 meter of cable, you can get several meters of bananas.

#Godot 4.6 is out, and all about your flow!

This release puts you and your workflow first with a new theme, flexible docks, and dozens of UX improvements. And Jolt Physics by default, revamped IK, better reflections, and more.

Less wrestling with UI. More making games.

Game Idea: Cooking game with Noita-like particle simulation physics. Watch as you boil an egg and the liquid eggwhite and yolk turns solid. Try to make a perfect crisp while evenly cooking insides. Watch yeast particles in the bread dough make gas particles, etc. Basically kitchen chemistry sim.

First week of 2026, #Steam had 230 game releases.

Media analyst @thejenna.bsky.social combed through all of them to figure out how the #pcgaming landscape looks like at the start of this year:

> ~35% of all new Steam games declared they used AI.
> Among X-rated games, AI usage is up to >80%

After 10 years of development, the game being cancelled, then resurrected, @hytale.bsky.social CEO says there's 2.8 million active players on day 1.

If #Hytale was on Steam it'd be the second highest concurrent player count of all time! (3.2M record) First day est. to have made >60 million USD.

In the span of weeks, I've gone from someone who has never used Godot, to struggling to "get" Godot, to really liking Godot, to having taught aspiring gamedevs the basics of Godot, to strongly believing Godot's workflow & structure might be the best approach to developing games for many purposes.
