Users are noticing Twitter/X has added a Grok-powered AI image editor that lets anyone edit any image on the platform, including other people’s artwork using text prompts.

Artists warn there’s no opt-out or consent, raising concerns over unauthorized edits and misuse.

I found out about a #GodotEngine add-on called Phantom Camera. It seems especially useful if you want to make a game with fixed camera angles, or an on-rails camera.

Game Idea: Christmas Tree Decorator VR. Ensure you distribute the decor of different weight classes evenly, or the tree falls over. Place matching decor in specific patterns for bonus points. Final boss is the cat who likes to climb trees.

It's a good idea to never assume your idea is wholly unique. There will always be similar things, and people will always draw similarities to it.

But also, the people who matter, the people who enjoy what you make, will be rapt they now have two cakes.

Make your thing, enjoy it.

This is true of fiction, too. No matter how similar the concept/setup of your story might sound to someone else's, the mere fact that it's you writing it will make it different, and the fact is most readers won't even make the connection/comparison. Don't worry about it.

Older gamers are generally more favorable to AI-generated content in games than younger gamers, but the majority across all age groups remain negative.

Come to think of it, could be fun to add some seasonal unlocks to my game like "Finish a mission during December to unlock santa hat". Probably easy to cheat by modifying system time though.

As gamer or dev, what's your opinion on seasonal cosmetics and unlocks tied to a specific time period?
