I know it’s tiresome to practice this thought exercise but just imagine what the response would be if Biden had said this.
The search continues.

Trump on Airforce One: “I had an MRI and the result was outstanding.”

Reporter: “Is it your brain?”

Trump: “I have no idea what they analysed, but whatever they analyse, they analysed it well.”

Something the US needs to accept too is that without a large-scale correction imposing consequences on a large number of people, the crisis of governance here will continue indefinitely

I thought the earlier news from A&M was bad, but this is incredibly bleak. It’s close to the point of not having a functional university.
Message to all faculty: your expertise is no longer trusted or valued at this so-called “university.”

Also most voters have just never thought remotely seriously about policy. “Should we get rid of illegal immigrants? Well, of course; they’re illegal!” There’s nothing deeper than that going on until they start seeing what that actually entails.
Some Dems and pundits overread the significance of Trump's win. They looked at dissatisfaction with the border and discerned a seismic cultural reaction to immigration levels inside the country. The former was real. The latter is a mirage.

genuinely very few things more satisfying than reading the kinds of emails rich and famous people send each other

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

Every single time! Epstein will write:

"porsecters h4arrsed me w/ sbuopenas al bcuase tr4ificing myners .due porcess much???no"

and then there's, like, the former president of a university or white house counsel or something replying:

"You're totally right, and also I love you with all my heart."

Beyond the obvious takeaways in these emails is the always fascinating insight that a lot of these rich freaks are in constant contact with each other and make society-shaping decisions by basically riffing on barely-legible text or email chains

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

All evidence points to the fact that only people born between ~1980 to ~1988 should be allowed to do computer stuff.
basically believe that this mostly depends on when you got Properly Online - before a certain cut-off your normal internet experience was high agency/high effort, but it eventually became low agency/low effort, and it's impossible to create a social media experience that caters to both groups
yes I think @youngvulgarian.marieleconte.com has talked about this, it's deeply alienating to find out that the vast majority of people do not want the curated timeline / engagement / discussion version of social media that I find to be the only good version of the experience

I guess on veteran’s day I’ll say that my great grandfather was shot down and killed during WWII fighting fascism. They never found his body. My grandmother was 10 and shattered and it led to generational trauma.

Anyone embracing fascism in this country needs to fix their hearts or die.

“somehow, 007 returned”
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

The 4 Loko panic really peaked at the end of the 2010 election cycle where I had just worked a campaign for 9 months and I have fond…shards of memories of getting absolutely bombed on that stuff right after E-day with my fellow campaign staffers (while the boss was probably doing press about a ban).
I haven't seen millennials this mad at Chuck Schumer since he banned Four Loko
