✨ A few years back I stood outside Wells Cathedral for a full day and photographed the impact of the light on the front facade. I was amazed at the outcome - at how a single entity could morph and change under the changing light. 🌅 #thread

Smol Paul is so fabulous. And so ridiculous.
And now for some of my very favourite Smol Paul moments in no particular order, starting with the first ever yeet

Things are fairly dismal at the moment, so I'd like to thank Your Party, No Not Yours for the entertainment.

This has understandably been doing the rounds. However, it's relevant to note that OP teaches at a mid ranking public university in Canada. This will NOT be the case at lots of universities.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

The Home Office’s absurd taxi bill results entirely from its insistence on forcing people to move round the country without choice or notice, & to live on the breadline so they can’t afford public transport. That Mahmood didn’t know about it till the BBC told her shows how appallingly the HO is run.

Introduce yourself with five animals you've seen in the wild

Groundhog
Badger
Alligator
Turkey
Bear (at which I thoughtfully shouted "Bear! It's a bear!" just in case it wasn't sure)
Moose
Lynx
Bobcat
Porcupine
Wolverine*

*possibly a black bear cub
Introduce yourself with five animals you've seen in the wild:

- Absolute unit ginger and white neighbour cat called Buddy
- grey squirrels everywhere
- effing foxes shitting on my garden sofa
- bloody rats terraforming my flowerbed
- several mice brought indoors by Daphne

We’ve mapped the mansion tax.

You can see who's paying - which constituency, which postcode - and how many "mansions" are near you.

Might start asking people who object which of my clients should give their lease cars back. Jayne probably has the most expensive one, it’s basically a minivan. Admittedly she may need it what with the epilepsy and motor neurone disease and so on but she can walk to those hospital appointments right
Don’t want to be too moralistic about this, but it is an active disgrace what people are doing to a profoundly liberational scheme that costs relatively piddling amounts on the basis of a couple of right wing shitposters misrepresenting it on Twitter.

I guess it’s a compliment that the top story on BBC London’s TV/online output today is a direct lift of a month-old London Centric story? But once again the BBC is consistently the worst news outlet for actually remembering to credit others.
