How has no one sorted out the digital-products-as-physical-presents problem yet? We used to give each other books, albums, games every xmas, but how do you gift an audiobook? So they can easily add it to their account & have something to open? It's such a gap in the market

If any of you happen to have tne beautiful Sony Ericsson Z600 sat in a drawer somewhere, I am DESPERATE to find the one with the rainbow cover like I had in the 00s. Will gladly buy it from you, or even just the rainbow front and back shells.
My 90s/00s room will be incomplete until I find her!

I've finally registered at a dentist. 3 years that's been on my to-do list.
I strongly feel this lets me off all tasks for the rest of the year

I do love when a single-product company sends you a Christmas gift guide and it's just "how about this, the... only thing we sell"

I don't know if I'm just awkward but I would really like to find a bird feeding table that's made of plastic or something else wipe-clean that doesn't rust, rot, or go really gross when bird food mixes with the ridiculous amount of rain in this country and makes sour mash of doom. Anyone have leads?

It's always annoyed me that the Windows DirectX diagnosis tool is called dxdiag when dx is a common abbreviation for diagnosis, so it should clearly be called dxdx.

I'm horribly behind on replies because I'm so, so sick with endometriosis 😭 I will get well and get back to people as soon as I can, but in the meantime here's Smol Paul wearing the curtain as a hat.

Honey, who was sold for £400 in a car park and turned out to be both pregnant and epileptic, has single-pawedly spent our whole operations fund. Help please? 😬
Our operations fund disappeared overnight
We recently took in a beautiful British shorthair called Honey who was sold for £400 in a car park.
Her new owner quickly found that she was a) pregnant and b) epileptic.
She gave birth to 10 kittens, of which 8 survived. When they'd all been sold, her new owner decided she didn't want her anymore because of her (untreated!) seizures. And so she came to us.
We took her to the vets and ordered some phenobarbital, which we've used with great success on two other epileptic cats. However, before it came in, poor Honey had a severe seizure and then two more in the space of a day. Our fosterer took her to the emergency vet, where she had to be kept in on an IV to get her phenobarbital level up quickly to stop the seizures.
She's recovering beautifully, but her treatment has completely emptied our bank account, and we had quite a few operations planned that we still need to do:
- Lemon, an old lady found on the street needs a full dental and a scan to find out why she's so wheezy
- Thomasina, another golden oldie stray, needs a full dental now she's stable on her thyroid meds
- Lenny, who spent 2 years wobbling on the streets, needs his neuter and jabs
- Sabrina, who survived the panleukopenia that killed her kittens, needs her spay and jabs
- Kirby, a sweet grey wobbler, needs his neuter and jabs
- Boots, a handsome orange boy who recently spent his 14th birthday outside as his owners didn't want him anymore, needs a fair bit of treatment, plus a birthday party!
If you can help with any of this, we would hugely appreciate it. I'm taking some of my jewellery to be sold at the weekend but I don't think it's worth very much unfortunately.
I'm really glad we could help stop Honey's constant scary, debilitating seizures, so I know we did the right thing. It's just that the others have been waiting so patiently for their treatment so they can find wonderful new homes, and I don't want to let them down.
Thank you. Love Holly and the moggies x

These two beauties hold our record for the kittens that waited the longest for a home -- more than six months. Mainly, I suspect, because they're black & white. But they are SO lovely and look how happy they are now ❤️

Licence to crenellate - Wikipedia
In medieval England, Wales and the Channel Islands a licence to crenellate (or licence to fortify) granted the holder permission to fortify his property. Such licences were granted by the king, and by the rulers of the counties palatine within their jurisdictions, i.e. by the Bishops of Durham, the Earls of Chester, and after 1351 by the Dukes of Lancaster.

It really is incredibly rude when you go to put on what you think is still a young, cool album and find instead the 10 year anniversary edition.
