This is not at all true! This is the face of a cat who has clearly been underfed for some time and has now forced an acceptable performance from his staff!
The face of a cat who conned his staff into providing two breakfasts of Iams chicken in jelly in quick succession this morning.

Magdalen's Remembrance Service begins at 10.55 am in the front quad. All are welcome.
Tomorrow we lay wreaths for Magdalen members who died in both World Wars.

I am deeply conscious of the terrible effects of war on a college like this. Imagine what it was like for the President to see so many students full of promise graduate, to die only months later.

We will remember them.

If you know anyone who works on medieval Judaism, please send them this! Binghamton is hiring a Talmud/Rabbinics assistant prof: half in Judaic Studies, half in the Med/Ren center. A killer R1 job for the right person, and not a ton of applicants so far....

It is a remarkable thing to see.

'Just' a huge piece of wood and yet my husband and I find ourselves standing beside it, talking about the people who hewed it, travelled the Tay in it, carried goods in it.

I've been to the excellent Perth Museum several times now, and always go back to look at it.
The Carpow logboat on display in Perth Museum 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 It was found in the Tay Estuary near Perth and dates to around 1000 BC, in the Late Bronze Age.
