In 2016, I had an ill fated stint as the Social Media Producer on Loose Women on ITV. It was a disaster, I should never have applied for the job, I certainly shouldn’t have been given it. I could do the actual job standing on my head, but the politics of the place…woof.

If you don’t like the BBC, I suggest that you go to America and watch their TV for a day. It gives you a migraine. The BBC also keeps the standards of the other outlets relatively high. If you think we watch shit now, imagine it with no BBC. And they actually care about drama, children’s, factual.

There are numerous bits of the BBC in my house. A sign from Llandaff at the bottom of my stairs. A Television Centre "Way Out" sign by the front door. My kitchen wall covered floor to ceiling with a blown-up picture of Lime Grove studio D. Today's news barely inspires a glimmer of interest with me.
