Hey so a lot of these accounts are bots that are actively trying to get people to give up. I've written about this extensively on other platforms, but Doomerism is an emerging tactic that's used by bad actors to get people to give in to despair and do nothing.

not totally relevant to constitutional amendments but i have a solution to getting bills passed and you’re not going to like it but it’s bring back pork barrel spending. the thing about horse trading for your district is that it works.
In general our entire system of law has become sclerotic, like we barely change statutes anymore because we can only pass a reconciliation bill, a kludge omnibus, or the NDAA
and like, we used to actively know this too! we used to amend the constitution a lot! the civil rights era was a de facto massive reordering of the constitutional franchise!
