Putting aside the palpable loss of identity, it also robs the US of a shit ton of money since the parks are profitable.

Also aspects of this were in Project 2025.
Trump didn’t campaign on this and Americans sure as shit don’t want it.
“The group estimated that reducing the operating budget by $900 million, as the Trump administration wants to do, would require closing 350 of the 433 parks, monuments, historic sites and other locations overseen by the Park Service… we would be witnessing the dismantling of a century-old system”

This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position.

Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

This sort of quote is something else man. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say other global elites see the American elite that were enthusiastic about Trump as total rubes.

The thing about scientific research is that it’s one of the few national investments that’s a clear public good even if you entirely discount the actual ostensible point of it.
New report shows that NIH grants fueled $95 billion in economic activity and 407,782 jobs in 2024.

That's not to mention the countless lives that biomedical research has saved.

Show me a better investment than that.

The Washington Post has a lot more details on what’s being considered for a U.S.-led strike against Iran.
Israel likely to strike Iran in coming months, warns U.S. intelligence
A strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities would present an early test for President Trump, who campaigned on restoring peace while touting his support for Israel.

I pointed out something similar a few weeks ago, but beyond just mocking the media for their stupid complicity here, these articles should be a direct refutation of the admin's claims that "The American People Voted For This."

Because they literally promised they weren't going to do this.
This Politico story from last October shows how easy it is to launder lies through the press. It claimed Trump would ban anyone tied to Project 2025 from a job in a second Trump administration.
“Clearly people working on Project 2025 are blacklisted,” said an unidentified Trump insider. 1/4🧵
