In addition to getting the flu vax 💉, wear a snug N95 mask 😷 when not at home.
Getting a flu shot each year helps protect against both Influenza A and Influenza B. Even if vaccination does not completely prevent infection, it can reduce the severity and length of illness.

Girlfriend and I both had it not long ago. It’s a doozy. Sinus craziness first, moves to chest causing difficulty breathing, low fever, headaches, body aches, you start feeling better after 3-4 days but have waves of exhaustion that hit suddenly. Ends with you coughing up lung cookies for a few days
