The new book on shrubs from @dietsch.bsky.social arrived here yesterday, and literally the 1st recipe I looked at was for a blood orange shrub that had Old Bay in the recipe.

With that as my most recent thought about Old Bay, the post below wasn't as shocking as it might otherwise have been.

I’m not sure I love my kids as much as this guy loves Vlad
Absolutely shameful: Witkoff breaks Russian dictator Putin's diplomatic isolation from the Free World. His handshake with the murderous Kremlin tyrant is like a symbol of Washington's abdication of its position as leader of the West.

🫀When did America become a place where people take joy in suffering? Celebrating job losses, cheering immigrant arrests, ignoring terrified school children, and applauding when neighbors lose public assistance. What happened to basic human decency?

If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you’ll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that Mrs. Dalloway kind of crap
Improve a first line by substituting Mrs Dalloway.

"The sweat wis lashing oafay Mrs Dalloway; she wis trembling."

"I was making the rounds of the Sacrifice Poles when I heard that Mrs Dalloway had escaped."

"It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted Mrs Dalloway..."

ffs
the democrats are an unserious political party and they are unfit to confront the republicans, an evil political party
This vote to confirm Trump's Deputy Secretary of State was yesterday *after* it was shown Trump's national security leadership is incompetent and sharing military secrets outside normal channels.

Inexplicably bad policy and political strategy. Zero upside, just attaching their names to a liability.
