Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.

A bunch of newly activated people in Chicago need to read this. A troubling number of people believe the police "are on our side" because they have largely followed the law and orders they've been given about not helping ICE. The police will never be "on our side." Sometimes, they're just reined in.

Every Gujarati African I have ever met identifies as African first, and probably Indian second but possibly not Indian at all. Indians certainly consider us African, to a point where more traditional Indians will not intermarry with us, even if they are ethnically and religiously identical.

One small touch I like about Andor S2 is like at multiple points it stated the senate has been funding the construction of Death Star disguised as an energy project. Democracy funding its own downfall; in Episode 4 the senate was dissolved once the Death Star was officially up and running.
