I see the “technically it’s ephebophelia” crowd is out today, so just a reminder that A) this is NOT a case where technically correct is the best kind of correct and B) the minute you say this, the gods dump you in the “irredeemable creeper” basket and wash their hands thoroughly after touching you.

Predictable but still amazing to watch people who spent literally years accusing every librarian, teacher, and trans person they could find of sexually grooming children suddenly throw themselves in with "actually it's ephebophilia"
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

This is the dream of every industry developed post-2008. We haven’t had actual growth since then, just various debt-fueled, top-down hype cycles because everyone wants the deal that the banks got: Become so essential that any risk is collectively funded and all rewards are private.
OpenAI has now committed to $1.4T in AI infrastructure spending on chips, cloud devices and data centers. If it falls through, there will be significant ripple effects as many companies have their fortunes tied to its success.

Journalism needs a new style guide for these times. As a start: if the basic material facts of the situation don’t align whatsoever with the official claim, you don’t have to repeat that claim. You are not mandated to cover the lies meant to obscure the facts, only the facts themselves.
Claim: rioters attacked ICE
Truth: ICE rushed at unarmed protesters standing on a patch of grass
Claim: 10 cars rammed ICE
Truth: No cars rammed ICE
