I said many years ago that Angus Taylor (the worst thing to happen to my home town) will one day become PM (the worst thing to happen to the entire country). I am very worried.
#BREAKING 🚨 The Liberals will hold a party room meeting at 9am AEDT tomorrow, with Angus Taylor set to spill Sussan Ley for the party's leadership

That fucking signature gets me every time. It's the signature of someone who doesn't even know what letters are.

Goddamn, terrible men using the system to drag women through the dirt. I fucking hate this.
It looks like the Blake Lively case is headed for trial and I’m steeling myself to have to relive another version of Depp v. Heard. Like Final Destination for viral smear campaigns against celebrity women

Let's never forget James Van Der Beek's greatest role; James Van Der Beek.

No. Oh this is so horrible. I'm devastated for his beautiful family. He was one of the best. 😔
James Van Der Beek, best known for "Dawson's Creek" and "Varsity Blues," has died at 48 after a battle with colorectal cancer. bit.ly/4qzufx0

My whole life I haven't been able to burp. It's caused me so many problems - incl horrible sleep, painful hiccups, extremely painful vomiting (which was horrifying during pregnancy). I had no idea this was a condition. This episode of unexplainable has me sobbing. open.spotify.com/episode/0Aba...
Everyone does it. Why can’t I?

God, Bad Bunny's Superbowl halftime was not only an incredible fuck you to Trump, reminding MAGA who keeps America afloat, it was also an amazing reminder of who owns the culture Trump desperately wants to control. Immigrants. The working class. The people.

I wrote about how the women Epstein and co victimized have been minimized and ignored as individuals even in popular discourse about the very abuse they endured—and how the legal system has punished them and other women, not helped them, for daring to come forward.

Even the most famous victims are silenced
From the Epstein files to Amber Heard, we obsess over victims while denying their own right to speak.

For World Cancer Day, here is another poem. I have such a hostility in me to everything this cancer has changed or taken away and that includes making me wear gloves when I change my son; making me treat him as a problem, as something I can't handle, even for a moment, is unforgivable.

"an inconvenient year" is the perfect phrase for this phenomena, and a great title for a book about it honestly.
gaiman slinking back into the world is why i always bristle at folks decrying "cancel culture" as some kind of danger. none of these dudes are ever voided, at worst they get an inconvenient year of not being fawned over and then they come back and just peddle the same shit to a smaller audience.
