My whole life I haven't been able to burp. It's caused me so many problems - incl horrible sleep, painful hiccups, extremely painful vomiting (which was horrifying during pregnancy). I had no idea this was a condition. This episode of unexplainable has me sobbing. open.spotify.com/episode/0Aba...

God, Bad Bunny's Superbowl halftime was not only an incredible fuck you to Trump, reminding MAGA who keeps America afloat, it was also an amazing reminder of who owns the culture Trump desperately wants to control. Immigrants. The working class. The people.

I wrote about how the women Epstein and co victimized have been minimized and ignored as individuals even in popular discourse about the very abuse they endured—and how the legal system has punished them and other women, not helped them, for daring to come forward. spitfirenews.com/p/even-the-m...

For World Cancer Day, here is another poem. I have such a hostility in me to everything this cancer has changed or taken away and that includes making me wear gloves when I change my son; making me treat him as a problem, as something I can't handle, even for a moment, is unforgivable.

gaiman slinking back into the world is why i always bristle at folks decrying "cancel culture" as some kind of danger. none of these dudes are ever voided, at worst they get an inconvenient year of not being fawned over and then they come back and just peddle the same shit to a smaller audience.

"an inconvenient year" is the perfect phrase for this phenomena, and a great title for a book about it honestly.
It’s so funny that this guy’s entire thing is “Oh are you triggered by what I have to say about marginalized people” but he loses it when someone more well-liked than he will ever be talks about an actual injustice

It's so funny that people care so much about this shit to the point where they worry about how they're tucking their shirt. Meanwhile I tucked my shirt into my undies this morning accidentally and you know what? It felt great.

I was worried that if Trump, like the President of South Korea, declared martial law, we would not get millions of Americans to march and throw him out of the White House. I was worried that the military would not join the people. But now I have a glimmer of hope. I believe the people WILL 1/2

Toddler has started to refer to strangers by the colours they're wearing. "blue girl" "green woman" etc. yesterday he saw a man in a white shirt, pointed at him and very loudly asked "mummy, who is that white guy?"

"It is all but impossible to explain why things happen the way they do. Our lives are like little bébé crows carried upon a curious wind, and all we can wish for our families, for those we love, is that that wind will eventually place us on solid ground."

Meanwhile, I want to cry for the limitations gender binaries have put on the colour imaginations of kids. Like, why can't boys have pink undies with kitty cats. Heteronormativity is poison.
I have found myself in a predicament. My toilet training toddler wants pink undies, but it turns out pink "boy" undies are *difficult* to find, and the "girl" ones seem to be cut different (for obvious reasons). Anyone know where I can find a solution to this problem?? I'm a hopeless sewer.

His & Hers on Netflix is the most true crime pilled show I think I've ever seen. Building a plot based solely on mounting twists and hating women. Who needs grounded drama when we can have melodramatic sadism and fatphobia.
