As I vaguely scrolling insta, which is full of "how to improve your flexibility" stuff, I notice how most of them expect you to start with youth, an extremely high level of fitness, and a perfectly flat belly to lean forward over.

I have to admit I'd never thought this one all the way through, but then, I also never proposed putting data servers in orbit, so I feel like I might be doing better than the richest asshole in the world on that front, at least...

These days I'm in a constant state of internal screaming panic due to changes in the area where I've freelanced pretty successfully for the past decade: book cover art. We can't live on a single paycheck and I need to find something else right now.
I'm of an age - the other side of 45 - where myself and my older colleagues are all concerned that our next layoff will be our last, and it'll be Home Depot cashier for the rest of our working lives. The older people I know who still work corp jobs are either high up execs or now work as freelancers
