Awkward phase. Still relying on reference images on a bottom layer, then blocking with basic flat color, then layers of shadows and highlights, then the sketch layer. Probably not the right way to do it, meh.

With my earnings cratering we're trying to save money where we can (like everyone else, I know). I'm trying to come up with dinner for tonight from ancient freezer food, and I think I can make a soup of sorts from chicken bits, tteokbokki, a batch of leftover mirepoix and miso. Maybe? 😬

Personal practice which I'm going to call imperfect but done. This uses some photo references for areas that I still find difficult (face, damn contrary hands) and I'm trying to mitigate my scratchy drawing style into something a bit more painted. Mixed results, but it's a start.

I am still really enjoying Where Winds Meet. With the most recent update I did a long questline where I followed butterflies, played and lost several games of their incomprehensible version of chess, made bad choices during a sad story, and then ended up in a dream/acid trip boss battle. 11/10.

My attitude on this is that I'm not calling them because I think I can change their minds.
I'm calling them because it is unthinkable to let them do this without hearing how evil and awful they are.
