I recently stayed at a hotel where I left several books on top of the dresser. When housekeeping came to make up the room, they inserted a bookmark into each book. Such a nice touch, and one I haven’t experienced before.

a fun trick is when the airline sends you an email telling you to pre-pay for overweight luggage bc it’s cheaper than paying at the airport, and then you get to the airport and they tell you it’s illegal for them to take bags at the weight you paid for.

Just had a massive feast where we overestimated (by a factor of 3) how much food we needed to order. It was delicious. The bill for my family of 4 came to about 35 bucks. Happy xmas.

Jewish geography is fun bc I’m halfway around the world in Thailand visiting an elephant sanctuary on Erev Yom Huledet Shel Gesu, and the dad in the other family that’s there turns out to be an alum of the same Jewish day school my kids attend, where he was a classmate of the current head of school.
