A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Remember when Anil Dash was insisting we better get used to how much the normies luv AI?
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy
Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening
Recent surveys point to flatlining business adoption

my favorite part of the "the protestant reformation caused a work ethic that caused the industrial revolution and capitalism" theory is that england, the birthplace of capitalism, was not part of the protestant reformation and banned all properly protestant sects

Society is a construct. You can just ask someone to do a ska cover of Faith of the Heart and they'll say "$300 please" and you give it to them and then you have it.

Everyone, give

So he was banned. I'm so angry about this. We were mutuals and he was not doing ANYTHING against tos afaik - I don't think he even tagged any other pro-Palestinian accounts. Just quoting fundraisers and posting art.
Does anybody know what the (bs) justification for this was?
Hey @bsky.app @safety.bsky.app @support.bsky.team please unsuspend Goran immediately.

Goran is a great person, a great artist, and the whole anti-Palestine thing youre on is one of those "Ford funding Hitler" disasters you remember being shocked and dismayed by when you learned of in middle school.

The "DOGE is gone" articles are clickbait but this one gets it closer to the truth: DOGE is not gone, it just claims to have "no centralized leadership" anymore -- in other words, its leadership is hiding in an attempt to avoid blame.
DOGE no longer has ‘centralized leadership’ under White House tech team, personnel head says
The team that was altered to house DOGE — formerly the U.S. Digital Service — is also still doing its own technology work across agencies.

Silksong is fun though, so maybe.
I feel about Thanksgiving like I feel about Silksong: git gud, bitch.
the “thanksgiving food is bad” discourse raises its ugly head every year, but the truth remains that thanksgiving food can be amazing as long as you know how to cook. the problem is we’re throwing a few million sunday drivers directly into a grand prix

I hope GRRM never “finishes” asoiaf because the finale is far less important than the ideas being developed from book to book. I think he should just work on side projects that interest him! Insisting a writer only iterate on their most popular work is going to just cause End of Evangelion

Really feeling like Pluribus is a pretty deeply reactionary show. That's not really diminishing my enjoyment of it, however.

I am kind of interested in the fact that it seem obsessed with The Good Place.

And then Zohran Mamdani enters the chat in 2025 and is greeted with abhorrent Islamophobia & 9/11 jibes.

Well well well…

The US Constitution forbids that the legislature pass bills of attainder declaring an individual guilty and stripping them of civil rights and enacting punishments, but somehow the Executive has decided throughout multiple administrations that it retains that power.

Today's tips: Salt meat you are going to cook 40 minutes to 24 hours in advance of cooking. You'll get better flavor and texture. Plan ahead. Meal prep is best when you think a day or two in advance.

Also, Invest in the growth of others. The strongest arm is the one that lifts someone up.
