I know mocking this is hardly uncommon (haha) nowadays, but Jesus Christ, magic cards look like ass now.

I know a lot of people are down on the iOS 26 update, but I like the new lock screen styles. Also castle rat’s new album is out tomorrow!

Using one photo already on your phone, what is the announcement at 2?

Pritzker is a billionaire. Newsom is a transphobe. Cortez? Cortez doesn’t want to be president and neither does Walz. They are all LOST!

I don’t know that this post is aging very well. Where are the mass refusals to deploy to DC or other cities? At what point does this non-psychopathic, non-mindlessly obedient military emerge?

Good post, but remember that procedurally generated maps that have been in game books for years prior to 2022 are not the same thing as AI. Procgen is essentially rolling on lots of charts to make an outcome and is effectively the same thing as the dungeon generator in the AD&D DMG

Dune awakening has really nailed ornithopter flying in an unexpected way. They cleverly split the difference between novel descriptions of paul’s piloting, the visuals of the recent movies and most importantly, the vibe of a John Schoenherr painting

This is exactly what I was trying to get at! I'd maybe have one or two different sliders, but this is a good reference when reading a new game.

If you run into an impossibly old veteran who fought the nazis, definitely thank them, but don’t thank the enforcers of empire.

Seems wrong to start playing a new dune game without getting high as balls first, but that’s the downside to work trips in the US

There’s a part of me that whispers: “And I saw one of his heads as though it had been smitten unto death; and his death-stroke was healed: and the whole earth wondered after the beast” and that is more satisfying to the church ruins that make up my mindscape than anything else

Every time I see this stupid take, I think of Sam Gamgee being self aware of the tropes of diegetic Tolkien stories like Beren and Luthien or how Captain Kirk and McCoy chat about gunslinger heroes while Spock glowers about their bad taste in media.
