Not sure I can adequately communicate the combination of frustration and sheer exhaustion of being a trans woman worried about losing access to healthcare and other rights, seeing anti-trans shit in the news daily, and then being told "Well, maybe trans people should have been nicer to JK Rowling."
Gaines is prototypical anti-trans grifter:

-Consistent dishonesty
-Radicalizing quickly once financially incentivized by far right groups
-Shilling crap to stupid audience
-Using sports for wider attacks on trans rights
-Lack of concern for real issues faced by women athletes (eg abusive coaches)
An incident in a locker room has always been key to Riley Gaines’ anti-trans fame.

But @msjpauly.bsky.social spoke to swimmers who were present at the same 2022 meet. They shared a very different narrative.
How right-wing superstar Riley Gaines built an anti-trans empire
The swimmer tied a trans woman for fifth. The MAGA industrial complex took care of the rest.

Shows how shit and in cahoots all the uk journos are cause just go “ok then prove you’re cis, right now, come on how do you do it that passport/id/driver’s license doesn’t do it so come on”
She then claims cis people who get “wrongly” challenged “will knkw how to deal with that” and i think the obvious immediate question back to this should be “well how would you prove you are not a trans woman?”

Major news.

Police Scotland’s newly announced “sex at birth” recording policy represents a deeply regressive and discriminatory shift in policing practice. It raises profound concerns for the dignity, safety and human rights of transgender people across Scotland.

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

No one deserves to be subjected to this type of vile hate speech.

Maybe you don’t care about McBride, but you should care about the waves of bigots cheering on this kind of attack on such a high profile trans person, and how that emboldens this type of hate in ways that threaten all of us.

I think identifying the person who did this and looking into their background might be useful. Likely they were either paid to do it or they have big skeletons in their closet.
