The necessity of the Matthew Doyle suspension was blindingly obvious weeks ago so it’s rather unbelievable it’s taken this long for Starmer to act. I guess we can add it to the list of about 20 other times it’s taken Starmer ages to act on something that was blindingly obvious weeks before.

Yeah I don’t understand why today’s piece (Stephen Bush makes a straightforward point about what Starmer needs to change) generated so much controversy when yesterday’s piece (Stephen Bush reveals he’s lied about having read Middlemarch) didn’t.

This whole thing is a mess. If you'd asked me last week to come up with an issue on which one side would be Anas Sarwar and Monica Lennon and the other side would be Ian Murray and Douglas Alexander I would ask you if you were high.
