I’m noticing it a lot recently. The Scottish team entered a debating competition a few weeks ago and some of our opponents were literally reading out AI-written speeches.

Job losses are obviously going to be a huge consequence of AI, but something likely to materialise much sooner (indeed already materialising!) and which requires a political intervention yesterday is the impact on education.

I find this argument unconvincing. AI is definitely going to change society massively but the suggestion in this post that we are weeks away from a Covid-level destabilisation just doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. And the post is clearly written with AI by someone with a financial incentive to boost AI
