The screenshots are just a rural/exurban person demanding to not have to accept any trade offs.
If you want to live in a place with no walkability, public transport, or ride shares, you need to have a designated driver or crash at a friend’s house. Not expect everyone to accept DWI to cater to you.

I have a bunch of intersecting thoughts here but basically 1) excessive alcohol consumption is an urban activity, 2) we shouldn’t legalize drunk driving and 3) we should more heavily penalize parents whose kids abuse alcohol in such a drastic fashion.

I never would’ve guessed the percent of Catholics in the US was that low. I think I’m just generally super parochial about religious and ethnic demographics.
Catholics represent fewer than 20% of U.S. adults, however, they make up 61% of the population at risk of deportation. Trump’s immigration crackdown is disproportionately hitting Catholic communities.

That last part really gets me. They tried to make Christmas into a way to say "fuck you" and then accused everyone else of disrespecting the holiday.
In retrospect the Bush-era War On Christmas stuff seems more ominous than it did at the time. It was just cable news guys crying about dumb/fake shit, then and now; I mean the campaign to turn Christmas, which most everyone likes and feels warmly about, into just another thing to get mad about.
