Lies. China bought $1.4 billion in soybeans from Illinois alone last year.

This year, due to Trump's policies, the U.S. is projected its lowest soybean exports to China since 2018—when Trump was also President.

Don't let Trump gaslight you. He's always been bad for our farmers.
Leavitt: "President Trump convinced President Xi to continue purchasing again American soybeans, which is something China wasn't doing under the last administration because they had no respect for President Biden or the country at the time."

I know y'all probably know this. But like - Emergency management is a really big deal for so many reasons, and a field that requires a ton of complex expertise (because emergencies come in so many different flavors with overlapping needs). This is horrifying.
SCOOP — Gregg Phillips, a conspiracy theorist with no emergency management experience who helped produce the election-denying documentary ‘2000 Mules’ with Dinesh D’Souza and has faced numerous legal inquiries, has been named head of FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery.

My story:
Conspiracy theorist election denier given FEMA’s second-most important role
Gregg Phillips will lead the Office of Response and Recovery, “the heart of what FEMA does.”

Another thing is that way too many people don’t understand that even during the worst periods of the most appalling despotisms that they’ve read about a significant number of people could still live relatively “normal” lives
It did and it is. Including but certainly not limited to the sky high dictator caricature levels of corruption. Trump and his gang have made the Marcos family look small time in a very short period of time. You can claim American exceptionalism exists. Emphasis on claim
I think one of the biggest reasons it’s happening here is that many people still believe it can’t happen here.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Immigration and Nationalization Act of 1965 were major legislative achievements; conservatives, if you don’t like these laws build a coalition and change them. And if you are afraid to do so b/c the electorate will roast you as racist: well, the shoe fits.
the idea that a handful of conservative legal scholars have an understanding that should supersede a settlement affirmed my generations of american is astoundingly arrogant, and the idea that trump — or any president — can unilaterally overturn that settlement is just despotism

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

You might be next. They only care about protecting themselves.

Affordability concerns are real because:
- Tariffs raise import costs
- Deportations make it harder to harvest crops
- Attacking Obamacare hikes premiums
- Budget deficits raise mortgage payments
- Undermining the Fed risks inflation.

It's not a hoax; it's a policy choice.
