This is what happens when "just asking questions" gets its nose under the tent without any pushback from Dems beholden to the consultant class, which makes room for "what about reasonable accommodations" and "but think of girls sports" and before you know it public erasure is the polite position.
It's almost exactly a decade since SC's northern neighbor tried to establish bathroom discrimination and got boycotted by sports leagues and companies alike. A decade of billionaire fascists and their friends in media and academia pouring money into pushing transphobia and anti-feminist politics.
