Just . . . wow.

The ability of the Times to take any story and completely misrepresent it with a Trump-framed, soft-pedaled headline is truly amazing.

I understand that the goal is to focus their messaging on Affordability and all but I am tired of the twelve dimensional chess framing

the president is a bunch of evil fireflies beeping in a jar, he doesn’t distract from things so much as it’s a different firefly’s turn

he wants oil, kidnap maduro
Chris Murphy: "At some level he's winning tonight because clearly part of his intent here was to distract the American people -- you and I -- from what's happening here at home. You have 20 million families who are getting massive increases in their healthcare premiums. People will die."

They thought they were being pretty clever - not being seen as caving to trump but giving it to what everyone would see as the next best thing - and pretty much trashed their reputation for the foreseeable future. Bravo.
Hannity: Did you at any point offered to give him the Nobel peace prize?

I don’t have any insight into what they are going to do here—& to a grim extent there isn’t anything that can prevent this, as ludicrous & offensive as it is—but what people have to realize is that Trump & his understudies are reflexively opposed to acknowledging limitations on their power.
TAPPER: Can you rule out the US is going to take Greenland by force?

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

Official representative of the US government out there with the “might makes right we’ll take what we fucking want” doctrine, heralding a new age of global peace, goodwill and cooperation.

Reminder that yes, even here in the year 2026, trans rights are human rights.
this store is 18+ and they’re strict as hell about it. none of this has ever been about “protecting children,” it’s about trying to force trans people to disappear
After a boutique on South Street received a warning letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for selling breast binders for gender-affirming care, the region’s transgender community worries about the potential wider impacts.

For the record.
Here are some choice quotes from Jack Smith’s testimony about the conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

“..the evidence made clear that President Trump was by a large measure the most culpable and most responsible person in this conspiracy.”

Everything he touches turns to death.

Look for regular updates here.
I'm (probably, pending approval) launching a new weekly feature in my newsletter called The Trump Body Count to remind folks that, yes, he's not just a dictator but a deadly one

Just one example: The 80 (and counting) killed in Venezuela.

What other deaths should I include in the tally?

It also reveals how much MAGA is fueled by their sexual weirdness.

“If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” one said.

We must, therefore, allocate $2 to the Crumb Police to ensure those eleven cents of crumbs go right where they belong.

Wow you guys are the worst.

So easy to write condescending op-eds about things that don’t affect you and that have the dubious distinction of being both factually incorrect and morally questionable.

It’d be more worthwhile to ignore your small step and look at the defense budget instead.
