Hey, as a librarian I have to tell you

You don't have to finish a book that doesn't interest you. Life's too short for that. Not your jam? You have my permission to move on to the next book.

Omg. Yes!
I imagined the Chatsubo in 1984. 41 years later I opened its door. Neuromancer is in production.

Know what the most painful soup is?
A herniated bisque.
The little ink drop was crying, because his mother was in the pen and he didn't know how long the sentence would be.

Thank you very much.
I'll leave quietly.

Proof your public library loves you: they leave you alone when you're reading, they love when you bring your kids over, and they'll literally let you borrow any book you want...even their hardcovers

Tracy Chapman is a Library Kid 🥹📚

“I grew up across the street from a public library, and it was the only place my mom would let me go on my own. I loved books. It was my second home, and I read everything that I could get.”✨

Tracy Chapman Wants to Speak for Herself
For years, the singer and songwriter has avoided the spotlight. But she is breaking her silence to look back on her self-titled debut and its powerful hit “Fast Car.”

Not all who wander are lost.
Some of us are simply searching for exotic teas, and portals to enchanted worlds hidden behind the shelves in dusty used book stores.

Just a reminder to support your local library.

Beyond loaning books, movies & games, libraries are a hub that often offers plenty of other services, like:

🖨 Printing
🏫 Educational workshops
⛴️ Passport photos & submissions
🚗 License renewal
👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Community support resources
📚 & more (many for free)

@youaregood.bsky.social, I love that any time I hear your intro music it makes my day a little brighter. I’m not generally a podcast subscriber, but I think I need to do it. Love your show. Sarah: “You can’t figure out how to drive a car by masturbating to it.” I had to pull over I laughed so hard.

Mind mother was a librarian. She let me read absolutely anything I wanted to. I lived in books and I learned to see things from different viewpoints. I learned what kind of person I wanted to be. Let kids choose their own books. Let them read voraciously.
Kids are capable of choosing the books they want to read.
