this seems specifically designed to break mail-in voting (where deadlines are defined by postmark)
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

This is a frightening time for the entire planet. Because none of his aides or anyone in the U.S. military wants to or is able to hold him back from attacking other countries.

And now back to science:

Billionaires also found during Covid that they could make scientists villains and divide the country (to get votes) by lying about public health and vaccines.

Oligarchs also want to protect their ability to spread those lies.

Yes, it’s illegal. Like changing it to Department of War, like ten thousand other things. Part of the Trump strategy is to break the law and convey “the rule of law is weak and feminine and laughable and should be overridden by Our Guy.” Trump is fundamentally anti-law.

That is a really big hole.

Yeah. All of the strikes have been just as illegal as if Iran sunk a Disney cruise because it suspected passengers carried weed.

But this one is so blatant—helpless survivors on an already-damaged ship—that it's impossible to fabricate any rationale. It's a crack worth widening.
I get this but plenty of people had been calling all the strikes murder and it hadn't broken through. This revelation did and put even Republicans on the defensive and willing to do some oversignt. My sense is that any crack the regime's implacability is a foothold.
Once the debate centers on whether the 2nd strike was legal, the first 21 strikes have been accepted as baseline. But the murder of the two survivors doesn’t make the other 21 any more legal. Selective outrage, not silence, is how authoritarianism becomes normalized @tadstoermer.bsky.social

Their response? They want to make it worse.

To be clear, if a military vessel tries to flee an engagement (say, to rejoin its fleet), you can fire on it again. But if what the WSJ is saying, then Bradley and his JAG tormented that logic to inanity - and I'd bet they did so because they were trying to conform to Hegseth's orders.
This is why, after a battle, you execute any wounded trying to crawl away.

Eh? You *don't* do that?
