Someone compared her to a soviet political commissar and the reason that comparison falls short is that a political commissar wouldn't insist on pretending that all their changes were the result of non political good faith disagreement.
The fucking gall. She has never been a journalist, and her version of building trust is giving a veto to Stephen Miller (or Donald Trump) about whether they are sending innocents to be tortured in a foreign gulag. The Who-Me destruction of institutions is a pervasive modern cancer in society

You know, #StrangerThings writers, you could have avoided annoying the hell out the nitpicking grognards (e.g., me) in the audience by using a definition of “sorceror” that didn’t exist until 2000 by using “psionics”, which in AD&D 1e were random, inherent powers that were innste, not learned.

Rewatched the original Miracle on 34th Street last night, as one does, and it struck me how many of the themes -- the importance of imagination and belief -- perfectly match Death's epic speech at the end of Hogfather.
