Sidenote: I think yanks sometimes miss how confusing their terminology is. I have an uncle who moved to New York back in the day who's black Caribbean in British ethnic clarification terms, which contrasts here with black African. So he spent a while objecting to people saying he's African American.
Honestly, the NYT siding with Idi Amin and saying that Indian-Ugandans are not Africans is not something I saw coming.

I don't think NYT should know peace until they divulge the full chain of decision making that led to the laundering of Nazi propaganda against a leading anti-fascist politician the same day fascism was codified in Congress.

I co-report for The New York Times: Zohran Mamdani was born in Uganda. He doesn’t consider himself Black but said the application didn’t allow for the complexity of his background.

protect your eyes, protect your head. "less lethal" munitions are lethal when fired directly at a human being and cops love to use them this way. pepperballs will take your eye out, a tear gas canister can fracture your skull.
cops will kill you on purpose and by accident, all with impunity.

Violence must stop, and we need to keep the focus on protecting fundamental rights.

There is nothing President Trump would like more than a violent confrontation with protestors to justify the unjustifiable — invocation of the Insurrection Act or some form of martial law.

Historically speaking, when the “rule of law” comes up against raw power and a dictator willing to use it, the rule of law always loses.
