I really dislike the "are we the baddies?" bullshit. It's predicated on a fake "innocence" posture. I don't like it at all.

Human brains feed off of negativity. Negative thoughts are easily digested and play in a loop in your mind all of the time. The reality, however, is that there is also A LOT OF GOOD happening every single minute. You have to do more work to pay attention to the good but it's worth it.

The shooter was border patrol. Border patrol loves esalating to violence and has historically always tried jumping in front of vehicles to justify using violence and killing people.

Can't recommended this piece enough. A few years ago I wrote about how police use self-justifying language that helps to create situational violence, but @patblanchfield.bsky.social's much bigger and better piece is about coptalk, violence blue identitarianism, and police victimhood.

white people aren't the only ones who are fine with the inherent violence of policing. people should tell the truth about that.

Sadly this is correct, and no one likes it because people want to see punishment. The same process that created the problem cannot solve it. The only way is to remove power and money (which are the same basically).
I want people to realize prosecuting the police is always a long shot and even when successful that it hasn’t produced any observable change in behavior from the police in general.

The Epstein files aren’t just a partisan gotcha or the master key to defeating fascism. They represent a larger geopolitical indictment of ruling establishments and the illusion of choice. For @prismreports.org, I wrote about how this tells us to fight for more. prismreports.org/2026/01/07/a...

Folks always forget Haiti.

On Feb 29, 2004, US marines landed at the resident of Haiti’s democratically elected president, Jean Bertrand Aristide, put him in a plane and flew him to Africa.

Then dismantled the Haitian government and installed a puppet PM.

A lot of people forget how in 2004 the Bush regime kidnapped the democratically elected President of Haiti, Jean-Bertrand Aristide, and dumped him in Africa.
Is there any modern precedent for abducting a head of state?

Plenty of examples of coups, assassinations and domestic trials, including show trials, but this is like a Crusader Kings plot.

As a foreigner I know there are two Americas. There are the people I love and fight for and who fight for me and alongside me. And then are the people who will smile at me while wearing a cross on a necklace and placidly vote for me to be gassed, as long as Hitler has good manners.
This is a hell of a sentence.
