One thing re: bans on gender-affirming care is that for all the hand-wringing about procedural expense, capacity, and physical safety, these bans explicitly allow and encourage similar procedures to be used without consent on intersex kids. We wrote about this:

Influenza isn’t just a respiratory disease. Measures to stop its transmission, such as vaccination, could prevent thousands of heart-attack deaths.

I’ve been having REALLY vivid dreams on my latest insomnia medication.

Last night I dreamt that I won a scavenger hunt and the prizes were all crayon boxes so I chose a Barbie-branded box that had a built-in stapler(????) in addition to the crayon sharpener.

Sleeping but at what cost!!

im always taken aback by just how much cis people will humiliate themselves to be dicks to trans people. like sorry, youre confused about pronouns? how did you make it thru 6th grade english you slimy dipshit? why are you going on podcasts to advertise youre too stupid to understand simple concepts?

Tons of data shows that even if you experience no symptoms whatsoever, just being exposed to heat for prolonged periods - like job shifts - leads to things like kidney disease, heart disease, permanent disabilities, and early death. Temperatures are up & so are heat injuries, & NIOSH has been gutted
Workplace safety should NEVER be optional. As Summer quickly approaches, instances of workplace heat illness will only increase, and we need a fully staffed NIOSH to make sure workers can stay safe on the job.

Reinstate all NIOSH workers now!
Trump fired the heat experts. Now he might kill their heat rule.
Government layoffs threaten to make it easier for the Trump administration to ditch draft regulations for heat safety.
