As a child protection professional, I can tell you the death penalty is NOT an awesome solution to child sexual abuse. Most children are abused by family members; they will not report if their family members will die as a result.

I was so impressed with this story about measles in the Atlantic -- the depth of reporting it would take to weave in all these details so fluidly.

Turns out, it was a work of fiction. She researched the effects of measles, but lots of fiction writers do research. www.niemanlab.org/2026/02/the-...

Saying a 26-yo woman has "limited value" is some incel pedo shit
"'She is dead,'" Officer Auderer told Officer Solan, before bursting out laughing.

"'No, it’s a regular person,' Officer Auderer said, adding: 'Yeah, just write a check — $11,000. She was 26, anyway. She had limited value.'"

This is something the Nazis used to do to Jewish children in the camps. It happened to a man I knew when he was a child in Auschwitz. The camp guards thought it was funny as hell.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

The policy position which was released was the result of pressure from the Trump Administration, and does not reflect the evidence available or the positions of the ASPS membership at large.

This is the sad part about Aldaco's case. She actually had a case for medical negligence against her surgical team for how they handled her aftercare, but instead her attorneys chose to sue everyone to make the case GAC itself was the malpractice.

Soren Aldaco in 2023 sued every medical professional involved in her transition. Judges threw out all of her other cases, which could mean this is her last shot.

TX House Republicans say they'll push legislation in 2027 to make a carve out if SCOTX doesn't make an exception.
SCOTX will hear arguments Wednesday morning about whether or not a detrans activist's lawsuit against her former therapist, who provided a letter of recommendation for top surgery, can proceed.

Lower court judges ruled that the lawsuit was filed after the statute of limitations ended.
